Our retrofit SwitchBase is the smart solution for anyone who wants to continue using their high-quality Tonie shelf. Simply swap out the old base plate, done. Your Piccolo or Classic shelf is instantly ready for the new Toniebox generation.
The base plate is handcrafted in Germany and fits with millimeter precision. Installation is easy – just a few simple steps and your new Toniebox 2 sits perfectly in your trusted shelf.
For maximum flexibility, we recommend our CoverCap as a complement to the SwitchBase. This allows you to switch between both Toniebox generations if different models are in use in your family.

Questions on the products
Which shelves is the retrofit base plate compatible with?
The retrofit base plate is compatible with QueChaLe's Piccolo and Classic shelves that were originally made for the Toniebox 1.
Do I need tools for the replacement?
Yes. The base plate can be easily replaced with a screwdriver in just a few simple steps.
How long does the replacement take?
The swap takes under 2 minutes. Old plate out, new one in – done.
What's the difference from the previous base plate?
The retrofit base plate has an adapted cutout for the new Toniebox 2. The dimensions of the box have changed slightly.
Questions about ordering
How long does delivery take?
For goods that are immediately available and already in our warehouse, the delivery time is 2-5 business days. For custom-made products, shipping usually takes 7-10 business days. For international orders, the delivery time is usually between 14 and 24 business days.
As soon as your package has left our warehouse, you will receive an email from us with a tracking ID so that you can keep track of the status of your delivery at all times.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we also offer international shipping! If your destination country is not listed, please do not hesitate to contact us. Simply send your request by email to info@quechale.com, and we will be happy to help you.
What if I don't like the item?
This rarely happens, but of course you can return the item.
If, contrary to expectations, you are not satisfied with your QueChaLe product, you can return it within 14 days. As we are a small company, we ask you to cover the return shipping costs yourself. We will, of course, refund the purchase price in full. You can find all the details in our cancellation policy.

Note on natural wood grain
Our products are made from high-quality multiplex wood - real, naturally grown material. Each piece is a small work of nature.
Because it comes from nature, the grain, color and texture can vary slightly from product to product. The cutout for the charging station might also look a bit darker or lighter depending on the wood.
This isn't a mistake or defect. It's a sign of real handcraft and shows that wood is alive. No tree grows exactly like another.
